The QUAD-40 VME is a 160/200 MFlops quad C40 card for the VME platform. It uses Texas Instruments' TMS320C40 DSP chip, a 32-bit floating point processor operating at 40MHz or 50MHz. The card provides local memory for each processor and global memory for interprocessor communications. The card also accommodates up to 20MB 0 vs SRAM. The QUAD-40 has twelve 20MB/sec processor communications ports (Comport+) on the front panel for board-to-board communications and two 50MB/sec ports (SPIRIT-Link) for memory expansion.
