Special Internet Pavilion at UniForum '97

CTP pavilion showcases the Internet-enabled enterprise

The Enterprise@Web pavilion on the exhibit floor at this year's UniForum trade show (Mar. 12-14) will be a real-world example of an Internet-enabled enterprise. Created and presented by Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP), Enterprise@Web features software packages, middleware and hardware from more than nine different market-leading vendors including Arbor Software, Lotus, Netscape Communications, Open Horizon, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Trilogy and Unwired Planet. These best-of-breed solutions are linked together to form an enterprise that exemplifies a new way of doing business using the Internet. UniForum '97 will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.

You will experience what it's like to be both a consumer working with, and an employee working for, an Internet-enabled enterprise.

The Enterprise@Web pavilion will simulate an entire organization--both front and back offices. At the pavilion, you will experience what it's like to be both a consumer working with, and an employee working for, an Internet-enabled enterprise. You will be able to "play customer" by using the Internet to order a customized product and track the fulfillment and shipping of the product. You can also switch hats and tour the internal departments of Enterprise@Web, learning how sales and marketing, information systems, manufacturing and distribution and finance can use Internet-enabled applications to improve productivity, increase revenues, facilitate communication and expedite decision making.

Demonstration areas within Enterprise@Web will include:

With Enterprise@Web, Cambridge demonstrates how an organization can use the Internet to rapidly and cost-effectively link various applications and functional areas within a company. It uses the Internet as a mechanism to tie point solutions together and allow the organization to conduct electronic commerce, manage and share knowledge, interact with customers, track orders, connect mobile users, analyze data, create customized marketing programs and expedite product distribution.
